Joyce and cousins

Joyce, Claire, Eva Jane, Frankie and John hung out a lot. Even though I was to small to know what they did, but they would talk about the fun times they had doing things with together. When we would go to their house at Christmas Joyce and Eva Jane would show me how the special toys that had been put out for the season worked.

Arkansas

I remember the time mother and I went to Arkansas with Joyce to meet Don's family. Joyce insisted that I milk a goat. I was about 6 or 7. Then we were driving along and Joyce said to turn here and we went in the mud(red clay). It was a fun trip for me because I had never gone on that long of a trip because I got car sick. Some weekends I would go and stay with Joyce at her apartment. We would get White Castle hamburgers. Then the family except for Joyce and Claire moved to California. Joyce came every summer for a visit and we would go to the beach. We would also go back to Pa to visit with her and Claire. Joyce would send me letters and draw me pictures. She was great at that.

The "Twin"

I remember over the years that I was told that I was Joyce's twin, just ten years late. There is much that I hold onto remembering Joyce's attributes that I would be proud to have someone suggest that I was like her in those ways. My fondest memories of her were formed during my elementary school years. I always saw Joyce as a beautiful person: she was a beautiful young woman; she had a beautiful demeanor; she was kind and pleasant; and she was a very giving person.
Distance, time, and life's challenges have separated us over the years, but the memories of a beautiful sister remain. Joyce you are deeply missed.

Childhood Memories

Joyce was a great big sister as I was growing up. She always had time to stop and play. She loved to draw and color with me. She showed me how to fill in the color pages and shade them as well as outline some areas to make them stand out and look like they were jumping off the page.

My Older Sister

Joyce was born 12 years before me. I am the 5th of 6 siblings. I remember a very happy time in both Philly and Glendon. Joyce married Don Perry when we lived in Glendon. They lived in Easton for a time and in 1952 Sherry was born. Later Sherry married and had 3 children. Taryn, Lindsey & Brandon. Taryn married Joe and the now have 2 children Cooper and Brooklyn. Lyndsey married Jared and they have 2 children. Jaxson and Liem. Brandon is still single. Joyce struggled with life for a time, but managed to live a long life into her 80's as most of the Fulmer family.
